413 Graham Avenue, can’t wait to check out the growler station.
Answer: Wandering Star. If you haven’t yet had a chance to try any of their fantastic beers yet, tonight’s the night! This new brewery out of Pittsfield, MA is taking over the taps at Barcade tonight. They will be featuring all of their beers to date, including two new to NYC brews: thunderbolt IPA and Rude man Barley wine.

Does the fact that it’s brewed in Denmark make it ironic?
Anyways, I just found out you can get $12 growler fills of this at Brouwerij Lane all weekend. I GUESS I will just have to try it, you know, just to test the levels of it’s epic-ness.
Yes, this beer label is real. Denmark’s Evil Twin Brewing received Federal label approval last week to export a beer to the US called Williamsburg Hipster Ale. The brewery, which just started distributing on our shores earlier this year, calls the American-style Pale Ale a…
Guys! You can order beer, wine, cocktails at NiteHawk Cinema now. Oh, and food. But I mean, not just at the bar, from your table while watching the movie! How fun is that. I think I will enjoy the movies much more now.
Super.
Wake up and Smell The…Beer
Josh Bernstein, Mastermind behind the NYC Homebrew Tours - is now on a book tour. And you can hear all about America’s boozy uprising Nov. 1st from the author himself. Details (in his words - which are so much nicer than mine) are below.
Come join drinkers and thinkers at the City Reliquary as we proudly host the release party for Brewed Awakening, Brooklyn author Joshua M. Bernstein’s definitive take on the craft beer revolution. To celebrate, we’ve enlisted expert homebrewers Fritz Fernow and Dan Pizzillo to craft one-of-a-kind ales for the party. In addition, Rich Buceta will debut suds from his forthcoming SingleCut Beersmiths (get a taste before he launches next year!), and Barrier Brewing will have a rare beer on tap too. Want more? Your entrance enters you into a raffle to win beers from Brooklyn Brewery.
Since mankind can’t live on beer alone (oh, how we wish we could!), we’ll also be serving up hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Frankies 457, as well as goodies sizzled on the grill. Come thirsty. Come hungry. Leave with a full belly and a book. Josh will sign it. Heck, he’ll sign anything. Anything.
Tickets: $10 for unlimited food and beer; $25 for beer, food and a hot-off-the-presses copy of Brewed Awakening.
P.S. If you ordered a book online, feel free to bring a copy to get it signed.

I have to say, that he is an absolutely fabulous DJ.
Dear Brouwerij Lane,
You’ve been my favorite. We’ve had so much fun. I love your half pints, your atmosphere, the corner you sit on. I love your wood burning stove, neighborhood puppies, and Star Wars wall paper. I promise you will always have a special place in my heart. But I have to be honest. Perhaps you have noticed some distance lately. I only visit on my way to dine with Pauly Gee. I don’t respond to your emails. But I haven’t been faithful.
I’ve been toying around with Good Beer. I tried. Maybe something will work out one day, but things are just a little…dry. Its more of stop in and get-it to go kind of place. We don’t have much in common yet. Maybe when the back opens up, things will be different. I flirted with Eastern District, but there was some hard to get - and just too much distance.
Now I want to tell you think I may have found someone new. Who knows, it may not work out. But it’s worth a shot. Especially when I know that you will always take me back.
So long for now,
Blager

Life is Like a Box of Tap Handles
These make good gifts. Even better gifts if your recipients have keggerators. If they don’t, they probably don’t deserve said gift.
