A pertinent and humorous analysis of why women are being left out of beer culture. Though her use of the word sister is regrettable, everything else in this article is perfect.
I couldn’t agree more that the punny blonde beer names need end.

Why Shouldn’t Women Drink the Same Beer as Men?
Why shouldn’t we all just wear unisex jumpsuits, dismantle the cosmetics industry, and get identical haircuts?
Seriously, who are we to tell you what you should drink – especially when there is already a community of snarky bloggers trying to do exactly that? At Chick, we believe that women are fully capable of choosing what they want to drink.
Chick Beer is about having another choice. If you try Chick Beer and love the taste; or think our packaging is fun and sexy; or feel good that Chick donates 5% of its profits to charities that empower women, then you can choose to drink Chick Beer.
If you don’t, then you can choose to not drink Chick Beer.
Your thoughts?
I mean, or we can just boycott big beer. Like I do. But, point well taken none the less.
Because women, or “chicks,” do not deserve to drink things that taste good. Or things that don’t come with artificial coloring and flavoring, or really awesome font! Watch out, chickoholism is on the rise!

Carlsberg Unveils “Copenhagen” a New Beer Marketed Towards Women - Jezebel
“We can see that there are a number of consumers, especially women, who are very aware of design when they choose beverage products. There may be situations where they are standing in a bar and want their drinks to match their style. In this case, they may well reject a beer if the design does not appeal to them,” says Jeanette Elgaard Carlsson, International Innovation Director at Carlsberg.
There’s something about a “lady’s beer” that’s a bit uncomfortable for me to swallow. I was under the impression that beer was for everyone.
HILARIOUS.
