    Actually, I was part of a lively discussion in my Transition Economies class where we discussed the stereotype of Russians drinking too much/being alcoholics as well as the ban on alcohol the govt. tried to implement at one point. Apparently, this caused more harm than good as people tried to make their own fermented alcohols, perfume serving as the most popular base. Russia has one of the highest (reported) rates of domestic violence and this poster seems to be an effort in linking alcohol and abuse.
