• Tonight: Bierkraft hosts Pretty Things Beer social with music, food, and of course - Pretty Things Beer!
• Sunday: Brooklyn Brewery teams up with the Brooklyn Winery for the Super Bowl. Interested parties can rent a full ($400) or half ($200) table, which buys you all of the local wine, beer, and treats you can stomach. Tickets can be purchased here.
• Monday : Celebrate the 50th episode of Beer Sessions Radio at d.b.a. Brooklyn. Starting at 7:00 pm there will be food, music, and specially selected imported Belgian beers.

Yep, it’s cold out. Pumpkin Ales are no longer seasonally appropriate, and its time to move on to the porters, stouts, and winter ales. I’m not a huge fan of winter ales or Christmas beers, but a little elf told me that Tröegs Mad Elf Ale is amazing. She even sent me this photographic evidence all the way from Baltimore, Maryland.

So, if your interest is piqued - you can try this and more during the Troegs’ Draft Takeover at Bierkraft in Parkslope, Brooklyn next Thursday 12/16 7-11pm. There will even be 3 beers from their Scratch beer series…chug chug chug.

• At Bar Great Harry (280 Smith St., at Sackett St., Carroll Gardens), it’s their annual Sixpoint night from 6-10pm, with an impressive tap and cask list. Grab some Dr. Klankenstein, Double Sweet Action, Missionary IPA (from Pacific…
