Freaking out because I don't have a clue what I'm...
@TheBLAger: my homebrew is just spewing c02/foam...its only in the first 24 hours of fermentation...does anyone know whats up? Is it a dumper? #homebrew
@Royal_Hopulence: @TheBlager in a carboy? Switch to a blowoff tube, maybe. Could just be a vigorous fermentation.
@hlhorne: @TheBlager got the correct size carboy for the batch? Yeast pitching rate in line with batch size and gravity?
@hopwild: @TheBlager sounds like it's fermenting. just give it time.

Favorite Beer Bars Follow up: I miss my friend JJ
I was trying to do the “ask” part of your tumbleog (?) but it kept spinning its wheels and never let me type anything… But I wanted to suggest the TugBoat Brewery as possibly my favorite in Portland. I tried to find some pics online and the best, lo and behold, was about 4/5 down in this guy’s beer-road-trip-weekend in portland. Most of those brewpubs I’ve been to :)...

Decembeer is here
Yep, it’s cold out. Pumpkin Ales are no longer seasonally appropriate, and its time to move on to the porters, stouts, and winter ales. I’m not a huge fan of winter ales or Christmas beers, but a little elf told me that Tröegs Mad Elf Ale is amazing. She even sent me this photographic evidence all the way from Baltimore, Maryland. So, if your interest is piqued - you can try this...

The Empty Stein: Canadian Invasion tonight at... →
brewyork: Two years ago, at the Vermont Brewers Festival, I stumbled upon the tent with the longest line at the end of the afternoon session and asked someone in line what the buzz was all about. “Some French-Canadian brewery,” they said. “Their beer got stuck at the border last night.”

Yes, there is some exciting things brewing north of the hipster enclave. Brouwerij lane is the best beer store AND tasting room in all of NYC (yes, I am ready to make that sweeping claim) and starting tonight they have ALL Victory beers on tap. So here’s your chance to try multiple great beers from a great brewery.Their Storm King Imperial Stout is one my my winter favorites, and Hop Wallop...
